The Township is reviewing the Noise By-law and is seeking public input. A new draft by-law based on public input as well as a review of surrounding municipalities will be presented to Council in early 2021. Please let us know how you think the Noise By-law could be improved by taking our short survey below. You can review the existing by-law on our website and also refer to the Council Resolution directing staff to review the by-law.
Project Overview:
Timeline: Please review the timeline on this page for a summary of key dates
Survey: The survey is designed to gather public input on possible changes to our current noise by-law. This survey is open between Wednesday, January 20 and Monday, February 22, 2021.
Analysis:Following the completion of the public engagement process, the results will be reviewed and considered in any by-law updates. Along with this review, by-laws from surrounding townships will be reviewed. This research seeks to provide a by-law that is both consistent and be a reflection of the values and concerns of those within the Township of Lake of Bays.
Final Report:The report to Council will seek to summarize the results of the public engagement process, information gathered from by-law research, an explanation of the updates presented in the new by-law, and a copy of the proposed by-law for approval. Once the final report has been approved to come before Council, a date will be set and the report added to the agenda.
If you have questions or would like to participate in the survey in an alternate format, please reach out to By-law Services at 705-635-2772 ext. 246.
